We had the pleasure of providing walima photography and videography for a wonderful Bangladeshi couple as they celebrated one of the happiest days of their lives at the beautiful Ardoe House Hotel & Spa in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Although we have been photographing and filming weddings for nearly 14 years, covering engagements, weddings and multicultural celebrations across the UK and Europe, this was our very first wedding in the beautiful city of Aberdeen. It was a wonderful experience, and we hope it will not be our last as Walima photographers.
Throughout our journey, we have been honoured to document many different cultural weddings, including Walima, Nikkah, Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Indian, Nigerian, Ghanaian, African and traditional British weddings. Every celebration is unique, and we always enjoy learning more about each family’s traditions while telling their story through timeless photography and cinematic films.

From Hampshire to Aberdeen
This was not the first time we had the privilege of photographing Tazneem and Sadman. Earlier in their wedding journey, we also provided photography and videography for their Muslim wedding celebration at Northbrook Park Wedding Venue in Hampshire.
Their Hampshire wedding combined elegant English architecture with beautiful Bangladeshi traditions for Nikkah. Hosted by the bride’s family, it was filled with heartfelt moments and timeless portraits. The Aberdeen Walima, organised by the groom’s family, had its own atmosphere, bringing together loved ones to celebrate the couple’s new chapter.
Having photographed several weddings at Northbrook Park over the years, we always enjoy returning to one of the UK’s most popular luxury wedding venues for Asian and multicultural weddings.

Wedding Morning at Ardoe House Hotel & Spa
Our day began with the bride’s preparations, capturing her hair and makeup, elegant bridal portraits and the excitement shared with family and friends before the celebrations began.
Before the guests arrived, we explored the beautiful grounds of Ardoe House Hotel & Spa, creating romantic couple portraits and cinematic footage around this stunning Scottish venue. The peaceful surroundings and historic architecture provided a beautiful backdrop for their photographs and film.
Capturing Every Moment of the Walima Celebration
As guests filled the ballroom, the atmosphere quickly became one of joy, laughter and celebration.
Throughout the day, we documented every important moment, including:
- The couple’s grand entrance
- Family and guest interactions
- Speeches
- Cake cutting
- Group photographs
- Family portraits
- Candid moments throughout the reception
One particularly meaningful part of the celebration was when the couple received heartfelt advice and blessings from their parents, grandparents and elderly relatives. An imam also led prayers and offered blessings for their marriage, creating a deeply moving and spiritual moment for everyone present.
These are the moments we love to preserve, not only the beautiful details, but also the genuine emotions that become treasured family memories for generations.
A Wonderful Celebration
By the end of the evening, Tazneem and Sadman looked incredibly happy, although understandably tired after such an emotional and joyful day.
We also had the opportunity to enjoy some delicious traditional Bangladeshi cuisine during the Walima reception, which was a lovely way to end a wonderful celebration.
