The Engagement Party

Capturing the essence of love and tradition, we recently had the pleasure of providing Hindu engagement party videography services for a delightful Indian couple at the Blue Room Sports Venue in Harrow, London.

This wasn’t our first dance at the Blue Room it’s become somewhat of a second home for us, having covered numerous traditional engagement and wedding ceremonies for Indian couples.

With many years of experience in every type of wedding service, we can also easily adapt to other suppliers during our couples’ engagement parties and weddings.

This lovely couple’s engagement party started with a Hindu ritual ceremony while food was served to guests. The couple then received gifts from both sides of families and had the ring exchanged on stage. As part of the tradition, the groom-to-be would also receive an engagement ring!

Video Story Board Planning

The most epic part was the dance! There were various dance performances. The couple’s dance had the most cheers. It was a seamless performance. The couple has sent us their dance rehearsal before. We had catch-up meetings about every 2-4 weeks to plan the scenes of the video which tells their story. To capture the best scene, we took into account the colours, outfits, and decoration choices and brought suitable types of equipment.

The Fancy Videography Effects

When watching the final video, you can see that we played with different props, and did various things to enhance the video. To count a few – the night drone shots with smoke bomb; three cameras approach (A-roll for documentary shots showing how the guests would see and experience the event, B-roll for beautiful cinematic shots and a hidden camera facing the audience, to capture their expression with wide angle shots); the couple and guest interviews. Everything is planned according to the desired result which we agreed to produce during the meeting with the couple.

The Trend of Couple Dance

This year, we have witnessed a rising trend of couples incorporating special dance performances into their weddings, with this unique and personal touch becoming a favourite among family members, relatives, and guests. Our journey this year included another remarkable wedding in Liverpool, where a Hong Kong couple also mesmerised their guests with a similar dance performance.

In the end, we wrapped our shoot smoothly, and the couple was overjoyed with their teaser, highlight, and feature videos. We extend our heartfelt wishes to them for their wonderful and everlasting love. Look forward to working with them again on their wedding day!

It Is A Celebration Of Life

Congratulations Sam and Rob! This sweet couple has planned a surprise wedding. They told everyone it was their birthday party. Everyone thought they came for their big 50 and 60 birthday. At the same time, it is also their 25th anniversary of being together. When Sam called us, our first thought was, the registers are not going to do that… But surprisingly, they did! They disguised as guests and took everyone by surprise.

The couple went back to the place they first met – Gerrards Cross Community Association, not far from Slough. There was one guest said he was unhappy, because he didn’t wear outfits suitable for a wedding. So now we know we need to wear our best for birthday parties.

Who knows if they are another surprise wedding!? We saw lots of their guests cried with happy tears. Everyone, including the weather, sent blessings to this couple. It was originally forecasted rainy all day, but ended up, we managed to film some clips outdoor.

It was not difficult to put the teaser video together. When we filmed this couple’s wedding, we knew it would look good no matter how we edited it. There are too many surprises and emotions going through the ceiling!

For the couple, there is another meaning for this wedding. Rob said in his speech, that it is a celebration of life. He was dead from a heart attack for a few minutes 2 years ago. Sam was next to him at that time and gave him CPR. “Sam is my hero. She saved me.” Rob said. They toasted for life. We are very happy for them.

We would like to mention the singers who sang beautifully for the ceremony and her husband. These professional singers are friends of the couple. We thought someone was playing CD when the couple entered the hall. It was that beautiful! Bless them for doing this the day before their own wedding anniversary. Hope they had a great time too!

Indian Wedding Traditions

This referral came from a previous client who had another Mauritius Hindu Wedding just one and a half month before. The sister of the other couple introduced us to the sister of the groom who organised the event. We found that Indian weddings are full of blessings from family members. Most of them chip in and make the wedding events successful. We are honoured to witness so much love and respect among these families.

Experimental Photography

This couple was very sincere and love creative photos. Although we did not know them much prior the wedding, we found out we could create special memories for them through our experimental photography. This is the type of photography we would like to do more in the coming year. It records the couple’s dance movement in 2D photograph. The process is inspired by landscape photography and light painting. It looks fashionable with some motion blur, while the couple’s faces are lit by manual flash. When taking this set of photos, we would never know the end result, as the couple was constantly moving. This type of photo could only be taken in the dark, as we can only use bulb mode in the camera. It will affect the result if there is too much light. The bride works for a fashion brand, so she appreciated this type of creative photos.

They will also have another wedding in Portugal. We wish them a wonderful everlasting married life!

We have served a nice Indian couple’s wedding day in Hilton London Watford Hotel, Northwest London. Their love story unfolded in the elegant ambiance of the hotel, and our wedding photography and videography services were there to capture every moment.

This couple has actually contacted us just a couple weeks before their wedding day because they are both professional doctors and they told us they could not find enough time to plan their wedding arrangement. They got our contact from another doctor friend we served a few weeks before this couple’s wedding, who used to work in the same hospital as the groom.

The Wedding Arrangement

The Hilton London Watford Hotel served as the perfect setting for their celebration. The couple orchestrated the entire event within the venue, creating a convenient and joyous atmosphere for all. As is customary in Indian weddings, the ceremony took center stage. It was an enjoyable celebration, the food and dance were superb!

The Unusual Requests

The DJ offered to display the wedding photos at the party. So during the party, we took about an hour off to process the ceremony photos for the DJ. It enhanced the guests’ experience as people genuinely enjoyed reviewing the day! In the instant edits, we included the preparation shots before the ceremony, showing the bride getting her makeup done and the groom having the turban fitted.

The first look of the couple got a lot of cheers. The bride walked on the idle accompanied by her father and her son. Her radiant look was done by the same makeup artist who served another doctor’s wedding. She is very nice and professional. Unlike other Asian makeup artists, she sells natural bridal looks, so the brides look like themselves.

We enjoyed their wedding very much and took lots of photos during the party session. We hope this memory will last forever for their family. And we wish them an everlasting wonderful married life!

It was an interesting day. We were a bit worried the week before, as it was forecasted – rainy day. ‘It was meant to be!’ We said, ‘Did you realise the rain started again right after we finished the shoot?’ Miraculously, the sky dedicated to hold the rain for this lovely young couple. We were able to film with drone, and there was a glimpse of sun-ray when we shoot the proposal and their portraits.

We shot this proposal in Pennyhill Park, a beautiful hotel, perfect for countryside retreat and nice meals. The groom said to us, ‘I cannot change the date and cannot change the time of this proposal, because the place is fully booked!’

Hired a Photographer and Videographer for Marriage Proposal

This husband-to-be has planned this proposal for two months. He hired us to capture the moment. We arrived at the hotel slightly earlier than his girlfriend, to scout the location and set up our equipment. Before that, we spoke with the groom-to-be to discuss his vision for the proposal and our plan.

On the day of the proposal, we hid behind the walls under some steps and waited for the girl to arrive. She was totally shocked when she realised what was going on. She was being told she was going to a friend’s birthday party! He got down on one knee and proposed. The girlfriend was so surprised and happy that she said yes. It was hard for the girl to say no, when her boyfriend (now fiance) spoke in sincerity with his heart poured out. She said, ‘He has done so much for me, and I look up to him as a role model in my life.’

When we review the epic proposal with the couple, we felt truly honoured. The biggest prize we have got is not the payment the groom saved up to pay, is not the beautiful pictures we reveal. It is their expression and laughters we saw and heard when we looked at the result together. The couple was overjoy, ‘You nailed it!’

They enjoyed the champagne and looked at the snap shots they took throughout the years.

We have provided wedding photography and videography service for a gracious Indian Bride and an esquire British groom on their happiest day at Northbrook Park Wedding Venue, Farnham, Surrey, England. Their engagement shoot took in Richmond, London was so fabulous too. Although it was a short shoot, we had fun with the couple and the groom’s daughter. Want to see their engagement shoot? It was our second time on this countryside wedding venue near greenery and river, to provide our wedding service there. The wedding was a traditional Indian wedding, but the couple and their families came from different background. The bride has punjabi heritage and the groom has Irish heritage.

We have also provided them an engagement photography and videography service just a few months before their wedding day. Feel free to take a look at our links here and watch their love story: We started our shooting 8am in the morning when the radiant bride having her Kalire and Haldi ceremony with her close family members. The ceremony room is quite small, which made the shoot a bit more difficult, but we end up we finishing it smoothly.

When the first part ceremony finished the bride went to change her second traditional saree with her hair and makeup artist. At the same time, we capture the groom preparation shot. His father and groomsmen helped him to wear his suits, tying his bowtie and his cufflinks. There was a short Indian ceremony for this groomsmen tying a friendship bracelet on the groom’s wrist. We were told this bracelet has to be warn throughout the whole day.

We went back to the bridal suite and surprised by the Bollywood film star type of makeup. We learnt that the main makeup artist is actually an educator. She teaches other makeup artist, works in movie sets and gives models tutorials about etiquette and poses. The bride looked radiant and we both agreed she looked like a movie star in Bollywood film. The photos look spectacular with amazing saree which flatter her beautiful eyes. Finally, we witnessed the groom’s entrance and the grand bride’s entrance. The family members and close friends gave them blessings and we were glad we had a chance to take photos with them.

The guests who joined the wedding are all fun-loving people too. In the party, we watched how they dance and really enjoyed it. After the ceremony, the couple had their civil ceremony in a separate room for signing the documents. Then, we finally had 20-30mins to finish their couple portraits with the mandap. It was a romantic and emotional time for them. Nightfall peaked in without us noticing. We had to run for the couple entrance shot.

The couple had a rather western style banquet, but Indian food was on the menu. We shot their cake cutting, speeches, first dance also guest party dance, and their bridesmaids’ and groomsmen’ special performance dance which looked so special for the couple. At the end of the day, we took some more couple portraits with the beautiful, romantic fairy light in the venue. We have also took some photos for the groom’s daughter with her guitar.

We provided wedding photography and videography service to a friendly Ghanaian couple in Bromley, South East London last Autumn. The groom grew up in Germany and the bride grew up in England. They met during Covid lock down through friends’ connections.

This is another wedding story we witnessed with our cameras. A couple of months before their wedding day, we have provided them with an engagement photography & videography service in Central London with some romantic touches in our shoots.

They were actually planning to take their engagement and wedding ceremonies in Wolverhampton before. But after discussion with the families, they decided to have both shoots in London.

Unlike other modern weddings, the couple opted for a traditional wedding, which means the groom would not see the bride before her father gave her away.

This couple comes from quite religious families. The bride’s father is a priest. Just before she left her home, her mother gave her a simple prayer and blessed her by putting the Tierra on her head. She has also given her some advice on how she should treat her family and husband.

After that, we arrived at the bride’s parent’s church for a 2 hours long ceremony. Lovely bride was brought to the first time seeing her future husband by her priest father’s hands. It was so romantic for the couple and for their guests.

There were a few priests giving sermons. From that, we can understand the church is very close to the couple. The congregation treats her as a daughter. The ceremony, banquet and party were held at Anerley Methodist Church, Anerley, Bromley, South East London.

They had a quite intimate banquet with all their close family members, relatives and guests who are also members of their own church. Their priests who attended their wedding also joined their party dance. What a great mixture of Ghanaian traditional style and western style wedding!

We really enjoyed their wedding from the morning until night, and editing their photos and videos. Wish them all the best and have a happy married life ever-after.

We met our couple on their pre-wedding day a few months ago – one of the coldest days in England. We have interviewed them for their love stories – how their love story first started. They looked at each other with loving eyes.

After that, we started our photo and video shoot at Terrace Garden by the river in Richmond. The couple also brought their sweet daughter for their engagement celebration shoot. We have took some nice pictures for the girl as well.

The charming Indian bride to be has changed her dress from a more sporty casual dress to a sexy red evening dress after the sun set.

We are going to take their wedding photos and video clips a couple of months later. Getting exciting for it because it will be a mix cultural wedding with Punjabi Indian traditions and Western classic touches.

This sweet couple actually lives in Birmingham and they don’t know so much things in central London. So, they have asked us to take their photo and video film at particular landmarks of London.

We suggested them for Buckingham Palace and met them up in Green Park which is next to the Palace. We started our shoots when nearly sunset going down in the Park and walked in front of the Palace.

After, the shooting around Palace, we carried onto our photoshoot and video filming in St James Park for some greenery and romantic backgrounds during the dusk. Because of the sun has already gone, the night time dark environment helped us to take the shoots how we wanted.

We have finished our shoot near Piccadilly Circus while they gave us their love story of how began falling in love, and what is their plans for their coming wedding, also their near future plan in the interview recording with us.
